About Money at 60

We are a specialist retirement funding service helping Australians aged 55 and over make confident financial decisions about their home equity.

Independent and impartial Education before product Part of the Starts at 60 community

Our Mission

Too many Australians reach retirement with significant home equity but limited options for accessing it confidently. The reverse mortgage market has historically been confusing, poorly explained and sometimes misrepresented.

Money at 60 exists to change that. We believe every Australian homeowner deserves clear, independent information about their home equity options, delivered with patience, transparency and genuine care.

We are not a lender. We are a specialist retirement funding service that educates first and helps you compare your options without pressure. Whether you decide a reverse mortgage is right for you or not, our job is to make sure you have the information you need to decide with confidence.

Your Interests First

Every recommendation we make is guided by what is right for you and your family. If a reverse mortgage is not the best option, we will tell you.

Our Story

Money at 60 was created by the team behind Starts at 60, Australia's largest online community for over-60s. Through years of conversations with our community, one theme kept surfacing: Australians approaching and in retirement wanted clear, trustworthy guidance about accessing their home equity.

Many had heard about reverse mortgages but found the information confusing or contradictory. Others had been put off by high-pressure sales tactics or a lack of independent advice. We saw an opportunity to do things differently.

Money at 60 brings together deep expertise in retirement funding with the trust and community connection of Starts at 60. The result is a service built around education, independence and genuine care for older Australians and their families.
